This was my first time traveling to Europe, and especially for surgery!

KCM Clinic was very helpful throughout the entire process. They sent a shuttle to the airport, picked me up, and got me prepped for Surgery. I went for Gynecomastia surgery, and had a particularly advanced case. The surgeon was very upfront with what would help me best in terms of recovery, and everyone was really friendly. Post-surgery, staff was very responsive with pain management, made sure I had everything I need and let me keep my autonomy regarding pain medications.

I enjoyed everything about Poland, was able to explore around and enjoyed the weather. I'd come back here in a heartbeat, and am enjoying seeing the results as I heal up.

KCM Clinic has friendly staff who were all very nice and professional. The clinic is a drive from any airport but the drivers are there to meet you and bring you back and are fantastic. The clinic seemed really, really busy when I was there and there was a lot of of waiting around with test after test after test and no info really given on what was going to happen in the day. The patient liaison rep is very nice but was far too busy running after everyone so I only really saw her on Day 1. I was told there was one issue with a test and they had to redo it. Seemed serious. Next day- nothing was said. I asked about the test and they said- "it's fine!" I was surprised at this. Apparently I didn't qualify for the procedure I wanted to do (even though in email correspondence beforehand, they said I did) so I was offered a different one instead. I had flown to Poland- had to get something done especially after all those tests. Even though I would be doing a different procedure, I was asked to pay for the original procedure I would not be doing. I informed them I would wait and pay when leaving (had given a large deposit also). They refused so I had to pay for the originally planned procedure and then wait for a refund which came a week later. That was swift but I just thought it was strange. The actual procedure I had done was cheaper than my own country but not that much cheaper in retrospect. I changed my flights and left early. (by 2 days). Did they offer to refund anything form the hotel for leaving early? No. There was a heat wave in Poland at the time and the hotel had no air con. The hotel, even though the lobby is nice is really dated and old fashioned. I hadn't stayed in such a hotel since the 1980s. Basic and fine but not as described. I would book my own hotel in future as things are cheap there, They offer you a lovely breakfast but due to tests and procedures etc., you can't eat it anyway!!!! Staff lovely; hospital is nice but I like to know exactly what is happening. Felt like being in a public hospital, waiting and waiting on an overworked staff. Would I come back? Not so sure.

The surgery went well, there have been a lot of extra fees which the group here are fighting about. Like extra room fees. And I had a blood transfusion which was super expensive! But other than that, things are fine, the staff is very helpful and the nurses were great.

I selected KCM clinic in order to proceed with a gastric sleeve. Even if the there is a small language barrier with the nurses, I was relatively satisfied of the overall services, the explanations, and the friendliness of the staff.

Moreover, everything was planned in advance. Therefore, upon my arrival all exams, surgery, and aftercare were always precise and on time!

I definitely recommend KCM clinic for any medical journey.

The clinic was visited by a Medigo team member

I found the clinic easily, travelling there by car from a nearby hotel. The city of Jelenia Gora is relatively small (it has around 80,000 residents) but attractive and the mountain backdrop is stunning. The clinic is a complex of two buildings, with a really nice mix of old and new architecture. The rooms and corridors in the clinic are spacious with large windows, and the surroundings are very nice. The equipment was all top class and the staff were very helpful, with great team spirit.
