Cataract Surgery

+ More
  • Cataracts are cloudy patches in the lens of the eye that are common as a result of aging. Cataract removal surgery is recommended for patients who experience impairment to vision and are sensitive to light as a result of the cataract. The surgery involves the removal of the natural lens and it is most commonly replaced with a synthetic lens.

  • 2 - 3 days

Patients can usually fly soon after cataract surgery, but should take precautions to avoid dryness in the eye.

Detached Retina Treatment

+ More
  • Retina detachment occurs when the retina becomes separated from its surrounding tissue. When this occurs, it is important that it is repaired, as the retina cannot function correctly in this condition, and leaving it untreated can result in the permanent loss of vision.

  • 4 weeks

The length of stay depends on the treatment, however any treatment involving gas bubbles in the eye will prevent patients from being suitable for flying until the bubble has gone.

Eyelid Surgery

+ More
  • Eyelid surgery, also referred to as blepharoplasty or an eye lift, is a surgery performed to remove bagginess and puffiness from lower eyelids, and droopiness from upper eyelids. It is commonly performed as a cosmetic procedure, but may also be necessary for patients who have obstructed vision due to drooping upper lids. The doctor will usually make a small incision in the upper eyelid or beneath the lower eyelid, in order to remove excess skin and/or fat from the area.

  • 5 - 7 days

Patients may need a follow up appointment to check progress or get stitches removed.

Wrinkle Treatment

+ More
  • Wrinkles are formed as the skin ages and loses its natural elasticity. Wrinkle treatments are designed to minimize the appearance of wrinkles to give the skin a younger looking appearance. There are a number of wrinkle treatments available such as chemical peels, dermabrasion, light/laser resurfacing, and Botox.

I visited Dr. Fryczkowski at end of May/start of June 2016, he was very informative and easy to talk to. The surgery I did is not practiced in my country so I had a lot of questions. Dr. Fryczkowski is at the top of his game, I would highly recommend him. There are English speaking staff at reception. The clinic is very well equipped for all kinds of scans, tests, ultrasound etc. I had a very positive experience overall. Emails replied to (even Dr. Fryczkowski replied to an email on his day off!!) I was put at ease and felt in safe hands throughout. I had a successful surgery and would like to thank all the staff of Retina Eye Hospital and of course thank you Dr. Fryczkowski.

I can't yet give 5 stars because I'm still in the recovery process and haven't seen the final results. My eye doctor was very friendly and professional. The coordination with MEDIGO was superior. Going abroad saved me money and let a procedure be done that's not commonly done in the country I am now in. Getting surgery anywhere is nerve racking but I can recommend the MEDIDO and Rentina Eye Clinic personnel.

The clinic was visited by a member of the MEDIGO Team

I arrived at the clinic after a 20-25 minute drive from Warsaw Chopin Airport to the north-west of the city, although I’d recommend making the trip by taxi due to limited parking at the hospital. The clinic building was modern and new, and the equipment was very high end. I found the clinic to be tastefully decorated, and was impressed by the standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The staff were professional and multilingual, and the owner seemed to have a great relationship with his patients.
