More about available treatments at Dunyagoz Ankara

Dunyagoz Ankara is an eye-care hospital with Tuv-Sud quality certification, as well as being recognized for having ISO standards. It also operates using only FDA-approved devices. Dunyagoz is the only hospital in Turkey that provides femtosecond laser surgery to its patients.

The clinic assists with patients who have corneal diseases such as cataracts, and retinal diseases like retinal decollement, retinopathy of prematurity, and macular degeneration (yellow spot). Moreover, it provides assistance with conditions such as color blindness, strabismus, presbyopia, and glaucoma.

The Dunyagoz Group also founded the first Keratoconus Diagnosis and Treatment Center in Turkey, in order to treat corneal diseases. The clinics now have a special program for sports players who are particularly in danger of damaging their eyes. Their preventive argon laser photocoagulation treatment is conducted during routine eye checkups. It requires a brief application of laser protection, which, once completed, has a very short recovery time.

I had expected that as a patient from abroad and that the hospital was one of the centers suggested by medigo that there would be a translated on hand to answer all questions. From the initial patient check in up until consultation, no one could really explain what was happening. As this was an eye surgery, this was especially disconcerting.
At the consultation following the scans, Dr Volkan matben spoke to me in clear English and I felt more at ease. However it was determined that my corneas were too thin to perform any laser surgery.
The total cost including pickup from the airport, one night stay at hospital before checkup, the check up and consultation, came to 85 euros.

The clinic was visited by a Medigo team member

Access to the clinic was ok, and inside it was modern and nicely decorated. The interior design of the building is really good. The hospital was technologically highly equipped, and the staff I worked with were welcoming and organized during my visit.
